Registration & Check-in drinks

  • Time: 18.00 – 20.00
  • Location: Spijker Bar
  • Address: Kerkstraat 4, Amsterdam Centre
  • Info: Arrive, check in, and meet fellow players while picking up your goody bag at Spijker Bar! A true Amsterdam institution, Spijker is one of the city’s longest-running LGBTQ+ bars, known for its friendly atmosphere and laid-back attitude. We’ll be seated out front, so be sure to stop by, stay for a drink or two, and socialise with the competition! Friendly reminder: If you can’t make it to registration yourself, we kindly ask that one of your teammates checks in and picks up your goody bag on your behalf.

Pride Basketball Tournament

We’ll start bright and early on Friday 31 July for the Amsterdam Tigers World Pride Basketball Tournament! Please arrive by 9:00 to give yourself enough time to change, join the kick-off and warm up before matches start. There will be an “A” pool and a “B” pool with a break for lunch.

Open-air party at the Homomonument

After the tournament, join a group of the Tigers at the Homomonument on Westermarkt to celebrate a fantastic weekend and soak up the atmosphere of Amsterdam Pride. Located at the Westermarkt and jutting into the Prinsengracht, this iconic LGBTQ+ landmark (read more about it here – it’s fascinating) transforms into one of the city’s most vibrant gathering places during Pride, with DJs, bars, food stalls, and hundreds of locals and visitors celebrating together. Grab your teammates, enjoy a drink, and celebrate the tournament with new friends in the heart of Amsterdam. Please note that this is a popular Pride event, so expect some crowds (and possibly some queues for drinks or toilets).

Pride Canal Parade
  • Time: 12.00 – 18.00
  • Location: Oosterdok – Nieuwe Herengracht – Amstel – Prinsengracht – Westerdok
  • AddressView the route
  • Price: Free, no tickets required
  • Info:  The famous Canal Parade runs the length of the Prinsengracht canal, starting in the eastern part of the city near the Scheepvaart Museum and finishing in the west near Westerdok. With around 80 boats, the parade will take all afternoon. For a good viewing spot on the Prinsengracht, be there early (bring your own drinks!) and be sure to walk along the route — there are many informal parties on various street corners.

Amsterdam Tiger Meeting Point

In order to watch together, we will have a meeting point on the canal side just across from Prinsengracht 256 (at the bench). Please note that this is just a meeting point (not a boat, house or sectioned off area). Our suggestion: get there early (we’ll be there around 11:15), bring drinks and some snacks, and dress to express (and impress). You can find the exact meeting point on Google Maps here

Saturday evening: street parties until midnight

After the canal parade finishes, visit one of the many street parties around the city. Popular spots include Spuistraat, Zeedijk, Reguliersdwarsstraat and Dam Square. Our tips:

    • Spuistraat (Bar Prik) 15:00 – 24:00
    • Reguliersdwarsstraat(Vijzelstraat – Koningsplein), 15:00 – 24:00
    • Zeedijk 15:00 -24:00
    • Marnixstraat (Waterkant) 15:00 – 24:00
    • Beursplein (Fetish party) 15:00 – 24:00

Farewell brunch

  • Time: 12.00 – 14.30 (please arrive before 12.15) | Note that tickets need to be purchased in advance (by 21 July).
  • Location: Restaurant IN DE WAAG
  • Address: Nieuwmarkt 4, Amsterdam
  • Info: Join us for the official farewell brunch! Close out the weekend with fellow basketball players over some refreshingly healthy food.  Please make sure you arrive by 12:15 at the latest for serving the brunch.

Sunday evening suggestion: Dam Square

You guessed it: it doesn’t stop on Saturday! There will be a big Pride Party on Dam Square. Join in the heart of the city to dance and celebrate. Keep in mind that the World Pride program continues on Monday and runs until 8 August!

Amsterdam Pride & World Pride

2026 is a big year for Pride in Amsterdam… 🌈

In 2026, Pride in Amsterdam unfolds over an extended summer of celebration, visibility and impact. Amsterdam Pride runs from 8 July to 8 August 2026, filling the city with cultural events, talks, exhibitions, performances and parties that reflect the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.

World Pride: 25 July to 8 August 2026

Within this month-long programme, Amsterdam will also host World Pride for the first time ever. The World Pride programme takes place from 25 July to 8 August 2026, bringing international conferences, global advocacy moments, large-scale celebrations and visitors from around the world. Note that the Canal Parade will take place on Saturday 1 August 2026.

Together, Amsterdam Pride and World Pride create a longer Pride period than ever before, offering weeks of meaningful programming across the city. From grassroots initiatives to global stages, 2026 is a moment where local pride meets worldwide connection.

Partner programme

Partners, friends and guests are of course welcome to join us! The registration and check-in drinks on Thursday, Friday night pride parties and Saturday Canal Parade are free and open to all those who wish to join.

For the tournament on Friday, partners, friends and guests are more than welcome to watch the games. If you wish to have court access and lunch with the players, please register as a guest (see ‘Registration’ page). Partners and friends are also welcome (and encouraged!) to join the farewell brunch on Sunday at the same cost as the players.
